Relying on Gods love
Eph 3:17-19
The Apostle Paul says that our understanding of God’s Love is the SOIL from which the weak become STRONG
- Ø This Love is the firm foundation from which we are to build lives of VICTORY
- Ø FAITH rises in our hearts out of the firm foundation of God’s love for us.
One of the greatest imbalances in our churches today is the continual emphasis on what we must DO for God instead of first emphasizing what God has done for us!!
We emphasis:-
- What you must Do to trust in God better
- What you must DO to live a better Christian Life
But to speak of these things prematurely, without first establishing the foundation of Love on which they are built on, is to doom people to a cruel religious struggle
Mercy / Grace / Faith are all children birthed out of the womb that is the Love of God
Could this be why people struggle to accept the things of God?
- Ø They make the mistake taking forgiveness, acceptance, faith in isolation when in fact they must remain connected to THE SOURCE that has given birth to them all … GOD IS LOVE
Love of God is THE TRUTH from which these truth’s flow
Stop searching for more Faith – go to it’s source !!! - Faith is activated by Love
Faith is a ‘focus’ issue - James 1:6-8 He is a double-minded man (i.e.) person of split focus
Don’t seek to have Faith - Look to God who is Love and faith will rise in your heart as a result
ILLUSTRATION :- Think of it like this – We say the Sun rises in the morning but really it doesn’t – the Sun is revealed BECAUSE something far greater is working to ensure that it does …the rotation of the earth
Ø Faith rises in our hearts because something far greater causes it will rise….the unshakeable faithfulness of God’s Love for us
