Parents Letter - Term 4 2011

Dear Firebrand Parents

We've had another great term at Firebrand, with many new people finding God.

We pray all your children's studies are going well, especially those sitting their WACE exams.  This is such a crucial time in their lives, and we pray Firebrand is a form of support for them.  We don't want it to get in their way, but for it to help them :)

We want to let you know of two important changes with the Friday night program.

Firstly,there will be a time change from the second week of term 4 (28th Oct).  The new time will be 6:30pm-9:00pm.

Once again, just a reminder that from 9pm we leave the children in the care of their parents.  Children have been known to walk to McDonalds afterwards, we do not recommend this as there is no supervision from our Security or Leaders during the walk.

The second change will take effect in 2012.  We will be splitting Firebrand into two separate youth groups, according to age. Years 7-9 and years 10-12. This means we will be able to direct the content appropriately towards the respective age group.  It also means increased security for your children.  Both will still run on the Friday night.  There will be more information to come on this.

So its good times ahead :)

Nov4 – Splitz (boys/girls);

Nov11 – Splitz (yr7-9, yr10-12);

Nov18 – Fusion (combined with our young adults);

Nov25 – Splitz (yr 7-9, yr10-12);

Dec2 – Interactive Sermon – Arastoo Yazdani;

Dec9 – Dodgeball Festival;

Dec16 – Splitz (yr7-9, yr10-12);

Wednesday Dec 21 – Christmas Farewell.
