Plough It Up

Plough it Up
Hos 10:12
Sow for yourselves righteousness;
Reap in mercy;
Break up your fallow ground,
For it is time to seek the Lord,
Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.
NKJV

God sees that type of condition in us and says, “break up  fallow ground” i.e. break up this crust that has formed over your heart
And to personalise it – God says ‘ Break up YOUR fallow ground “
God is speaking to a terrible condition of heart that can happened to all of us
 We can become ‘Crusty Christians’

We are ploughing up the crusty truth
•    Trusting God ;
•    Being sealed by the Holy Spirit ;
•     The message of the Cross
•    End times & the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Trust is only truly Trust when we are surrendering into the arms of God without trying to control the outcome
So I’m not talking about trusting God to work things out just like you planned,         but Trusting God to work things out just like HE PROMISED

Does the Sheep hand the Shepherd a map and say ‘take me to where I want to go’
Ps 31:14-15
But I trust in you, O LORD;
I say, "You are my God."
My times are in your hands; NIV

What does it mean to Trust God ? it means letting go and falling into the arms of God

John 14:16-17  I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper to be with you forever —    the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it does not see him or know him. But you know him, because he lives with you and he will be in you. NCV

1 Cor 3:16-17 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? NKJV

In this New Covenant Age – The Spirit of God is not visiting us … He is not ON us …He is IN US!!

 HOLY Spirit is in us

 ‘Holy’ is not the Spirit of God’s first name - He is called Holy because He is the Spirit of Holiness.

What’s the simplest way we can understand holiness?
Holiness is godliness.

So who wants the Holy Spirit to flow through your life?

John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. NKJV
Without the preaching of the Cross we end up with a powerless Christianity

How does the power of the Cross continue to work in our lives?
The last words of Jesus on the Cross was "it is finished" – It is complete
– you don’t need to add to something that is complete
We need to stop asking God to give us what we already have

When you keep asking for what you already have it is unbelief.

Matt 24:36 "No one knows when that day or time will be, not the angels in heaven, not even the Son. Only the Father knows. NCV
So we can’t be certain about when Jesus Christ is returning to this Planet …we can only be certain that He is returning to this Planet:
We are also told that Christ’s return will happen suddenly and without warning , at a time when people are just going about their everyday lives
We are also told that in the time leading up to Christ’s return the faith of Christian will be greatly tested
So we can’t be certain about when Jesus Christ is returning to this Planet …we can only be certain that He is returning to this Planet:
Acts 1:10-11 Suddenly, two men wearing white clothes stood beside them. 11 They said, "Men of Galilee, why are you standing here looking into the sky? Jesus, whom you saw taken up from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you saw him go." NCV
For those of you who are not right with God, it means come to Christ - Get ready!
For those of you who are in Church on Sunday but living godlessly for the rest of the week it means – Get serious!
Rev 22:12-13 "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. NIV
 When you get to heaven, there is going to be a special moment when Jesus, your Savior & Lord,  is going to have you stand before Him so He can ‘thank you’ and give you a reward for your faithfulness
For those of you living a sincere life of devotion to God it means – keep going because Thank you Day is coming!
