Worship Team

We believe in the supernatual power of praise and worship! God is raising up a new breed of worshippers who understand the prophetic and who minister in spirit and in truth!
Worship is like incense to God, it is for Him alone, and it rises up and blesses His heart when it is fresh, heartfelt and pure before Him.
We as a team believe worship is more than just singing songs to God but actually encountering His presence in every service! That is why we give room in each meeting to come before him with spiritual and prophetic songs and lots of free worship! He desires to heal us, release angels and new revelation even as we worship!

Background

The Perth CLC Worship Team has been on an exciting journey since it's humble beginnings in early 1980s. In the late 90s, the team began to make stand in the city of Perth to create a sound that would glorify God and touch the ears of all those who listened to it. Under the leadership of the legendary Pastor Ken Lee (now senior minister at South City Church), Perth CLC's worship team recorded their first two live worship albums from 2001 to 2003. A year later, Ian Varughese (former young adults music director) produced a third album, recorded at Krytpon Studio, featuring contemporary style worship music aimed at youth. Today the Perth CLC worship team is directed by Steve and Allyson Cawthorn who have brought a whole new dimension to ushering of the prophetic in music that is offered up to God. Now with their fourth album coming out, the Perth CLC Worship Team hopes to further bless the ears of all those who listen and to inspire them to worship God in a new and powerful way!

Being a part of a worship team is more than just having talent or a gift to sing or play an instrument, it involves a whole lifestyle of worship. The bible says to lift up holy hands to God which basically means to worship with purity and integrity. Part of our DNA as a worship team is the importance of your character and walk with God as an individual. God wants our heart of worship more than our gift.

It's our desire to be a team that puts aside our own selfish desires and honours and encourages each other, because when we do this God commands blessing on our lives!
